KEDICHO

A Mexican/American Chicano brand created by husband and wife artist duo.

KEDICHO was born from a deep desire to connect generations. It’s a tribute to the voices of our past and a way to keep their stories alive. We believe that dichos have the power to inspire, comfort, and unite us, reminding us of the loved ones who shaped who we are today.

Whether it was your Abuelita's sweet prayers, your Tio's witty jokes, or your Apa's humble advice, those DICHOS hold a lot of significance in a Latino household.

Our goal is to have those DICHOS live on forever. Wherever you are. Keeping their memory and those DICHOS alive! Long after our loved ones are gone.

Why KEDICHO

Every design at KEDICHO is inspired by the Mexican dichos, cultural legends, and biblical verses we hold close to our hearts.

Every item is designed, printed, and packed with care and passion by us, the proud artists and owners of KEDICHO.

Our Official Logo

Our primary logo features a sun and moon design. The rays of the sun and the crescent moon are inspired by motifs often seen in artesanal Mexican pottery. The three sun rays also pay homage to the axolotl, a remarkable species native to Mexico, in our logo it is represented by its external gills/ rays of sun. Our logo also symbolizes an eclipse. For many ancient civilizations in Mexico, such as the Aztecs and Mayans, eclipses were seen as powerful celestial events.

Kedicho's Seal is a detailed hand drawn emblem that tells a deeper story, rich with Mexican cultural symbolism:

The Maguey & Maíz

Inspired by the legend of the Axolotl, where Xolotl transformed into various forms to escape sacrifice, including a maguey plant and maize.

The Mountain

In the background, you’ll find the iconic mountain range featuring the active stratovolcano Popocatépetl and its companion Iztaccíhuatl. These majestic peaks not only stand as landmarks of Mexico but also carry a timeless legend of love and loyalty that resonates through generations.

"Tradición Que Habla" is a phrase embedded in our emblem and woven throughout our branding because it represents the heart of KEDICHO. As a brand, we celebrate the timeless dichos that have been passed down through generations—words of wisdom, humor, and resilience that define our culture and our people. These sayings are more than just phrases; they are a living tradition, a voice from the past that continues to shape our present.

We wanted our Official KEDICHO seal to represent our Mexican culture in a way that is unique to us and we are so happy to share this with the world.
